Review: Baudelaire Soaps

Baudelaire is PASSIONATE. About importing HIGH-QUALITY soaps and body-care products based on authentic local traditions of formulation and fragrance.

They have been ever since we set off in 1987 in search of artisanal companies owned by people who are as passionate about AUTHENTICITY as they are.

People like:

Stephane Lecaille
of Provence Santé, whose passion for traditional soapmaking and authentic Provençal FRAGRANCES has led to the creation of one of America’s leading imported brands.

Switzerland’s Ernst Schenk whose commitment to TRADITIONAL beekeeping, and the wonderfully healing ingredients that bees gather, recently took him to Brazil in search of better bee pollen for his Apiana soaps.

Jim Cantonis, a fourth generation sponge harvester in Tarpon Springs, Florida: a leading advocate for renewable harvesting of NATURAL sea sponges from the Gulf of Mexico.

Bernard Chevilliat, creator of Essence soaps, who helped lead the fight for an independent screening body, CosméBio, which certifies ORGANIC and natural personal-care products in Europe.

Cara Spinelli who, inspired by her commitment to renewable resources and SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY, founded a women’s collective in Transylvania to create jobs in remote villages, who supply our hemp wash mitts.

Angela Canon who, with her mother, began a similar initiative in Colombia which employs LOCAL women to gather, knit, and crochet bath accessories from horsehair and other natural fibers.

You: customers who also have a PASSION for authentic high-quality products, elegant packaging, and distinctive fragrances.

Olive oil is one of the best skin care "miracles" around. And has been since folks in the Mediterranean started using olive-oil based products for bathing a few thousand years ago. (Ever noticed how good their skin looks?)

A luxurious, foaming cream with the softening power of olive oil and fragrance notes of lavender, artemsia and lemon.

Review: The Jardin de l'Olivier Bath & Shower Crème is so smooth and soothing. It is a wonderful bath & shower creme to use during the winter time since it helps with dry skin. There is no need use any moisturizers after you this. The only thing is that it has a very strong masculine smell, which doesn't matter to me since it is something to use in the shower. Otherwise, if this was a perfume, I wouldn't like the scent since I'm really into feminine scents. I believe males could get away with using this without sacrificing their masculinity since it does have masculine scent after all.

A mild cleanser, specifically designed to be used instead of soap to gently lift impurities from the face and neck. Lait Hibiscus Face Milk features naturally toning hibiscus milk as well as soothing vervain flower water to purify and tone the skin before moisturizing.

Review: My mom was thrilled to try out the LAIT Cleansing Face Milk Hibiscus ($17.50). She has dry skin, unlike my combination skin. Therefore, she was able to appreciate this product more than I could. This face milk makes a wonderful cleanser, while giving her the perfect moisture. She said that it makes her face feel very clean and soft. She also loves the scent!
