Pre-Summer Body Exfoliation - Simulates Spalicious Body Scrub

Skin softening natural all body exfoliating treatment

· Ingredients: ½ cup olive oil, ¾ cup fine sea salt, and drops of your favorite aromatherapy oil. Keep in mind the oil selected should be specific to treatment goal – citrus is energizing – lavender relaxing – peppermint stimulating

· Place all items in a bowl and blend together

· Next, step into the shower and moisten the body – apply the blend by hand in a circular motion or for increased exfoliation apply with loofah mitt or body brush

· Rinse off thoroughly. Skin will feel smooth and soft and supple. For further hydration apply body lotion directly to moist skin

Pre-Summer Facial for Extra Dry Skin

Skin softening avocado mask for combination or dry skin · Ingredients: ½ avocado, 1 egg, 1 tablespoon of plain yogurt, 1 tablespoon of coconut oil and 1 teaspoon of baking soda.

The avocado and coconut oils work as an instant skin softener as the baking soda works as a mild exfoliator

· Place all items in a bowl and blend well together

· Apply the mixture to your face and leave on for 10-15 minutes

· Rinse off with warm water

Foot Scrub for Dry Feet and Heels - Simulates Foot Rehab Pedicure

· Begin by soaking feet in ¼ cup baking soda to reduce inflammation and cleanse feet thoroughly for 10 minutes

· Using a wet pumice stone rub heels thoroughly yet gently to remove dry callous

· Next, apply coconut oil to feet

· Finally, wrap feet in plastic and cover with soft socks for 30 minutes. The plastic and warmth will help the oil to soften the skin.

Facial Cleanser: I haven't come across many cleansers that I found impressive, but I have to give props to this cleanser. It foams into a moisture-rich lather and purifies the skin with ingredients that will not strip the away natural oils. Also, it has a light, pleasant smell and makes the perfect everyday facial cleanser for all skin types.

Hemp Seed Oil Conditioner:

These days, Shea Moisture is usually my go-to brand when it comes to shampoo and conditioner. However, I always find myself reaching for this conditioner. This says a lot since I am uber selective about conditioner. My hair has a tendency to be on the dry side, but this conditioner deeply conditions it and gives it a lot of luster!

Facial Cream: I don't have dry or normal skin, so I have to be careful about what kind of moisturizers and creams that I use. I've used this cream in the past, but I've had better results with it the second time around. It was thick when I was first introduced to it a few years back when it was under The Healing Seed name. I'm happy to report that it is now light and well absorbent. It doesn't sit on top of the skin, which irks me to no end with some creams.

Shampoo: This is an okay shampoo, but this is because most shampoos out there don't work for my hair. It is light, lathers well, and the scent is pleasant. The only thing is it makes my hair drier than usual, even though the product doesn't have any sulfates, so I have to quickly follow up with a conditioner.

Balanced and Beautiful Hair with ISO Beauty

A few months ago, my 7 year old son called himself playing by submerging my beloved Barbar Ceramic ECO 8000 Blow Dryer in water (boys are capable of doing the weirdest things!). It wasn't hooked up since I safely tuck in all hair appliances in a small tote underneath the bathroom sink once finished. I was livid for a brief moment, but I made a stop at Ulta, and I picked up a Hot Tools blow dryer. It was nothing like my original blow dryer, but it did what it could do at the time.

Still thinking I wouldn't find another blow dryer like the original, my way of thinking changed once I tried out the InfraRed Ionic 2000 ($250) for the first time. It dries within no time. Also, my hair is gorgeously smooth and silky when I spritz on the Shea Moisture Organic Raw Shea Butter Reconstructive Elixir Spray (it's great for hindering any damage for any type of heat styling!) when I'm in the middle of blow drying.

The InfraRed Ionic 2000 features three different heat settings (cool, warm, and hot) and two speed settings. The InfraRed is activated when the highest setting is chosen, but I normally don't use it since I prefer warm or cool to avoid over drying my hair. I also just don't like the hot sensation. However, The InfraRed is good for increasing blood circulation, thus stimulating hair growth. It also dispels fatigue, reduces dandruff, maintain healthy follicles to prevent hair loss, and alleviates pressure.

To ensure the silkiness, I apply a dime sized amount of the BD Hair Serum Vitamin E with Argan Oil ($30) into the palm of my hands and gingerly work it into my hair. Not only it ensures the silkiness and smoothness, but it also keeps the frizzies at bay. I like that it doesn't weigh down the hair or cause product build-up.
