Thanks to the The Infiniti Pro by Conair™ Spin Air Brush ($59.99), I've been giving my flat iron a much needed rest. I'll admit that I was a bit apprehensive about using a spin air brush in my hair after a hair tool mishap in late December, which led me to cutting a slight chunk of my hair. Thankfully, that's barely noticeable since I've been taking Phyto Phytophanere Dietary Supplements ($50) and using Wild Growth Hair Oil ($7.94) for months.

My hair is normally thick and wavy, but the over usage of flat irons can make it look flat and lifeless. That's why I'm starting to use flat irons less and less since they're not good for the hair if not used in moderation. I like that I can easily achieve voluptuous hair with the The Infiniti Pro by Conair™ Spin Air Brush , because it gives my hairstyle the oomph that it needs. It also makes my hair smooth and frizz-free. To ensure superior shine and extra smoothness, I apply Leonor Greyl's Lait Luminescence Bi-Phase Detangling Milk ($43) beforehand.

The tangle-free anti-static bristles allow you to customize your volume fast with or without the spin function. The powerful ceramic heat distributes heat evenly for less damage, and an anti-frizz ionic generator releases up to 100x more ions than ions created from natural sources. With up to 100x more ions, your hair will have maximum conditioning and shine! Choose from 2 heat settings plus cool setting and the multi-directional rotation (right/left) makes it easy for both right and left-handed users.

The Infiniti Pro by Conair Spin Air Brush is available nationwide at mass market and drug store retailers, as well as at http://www.conairspinair.com for an average retail price of $59.99.

Leveraging their expertise in the nail category, Julep has created a line of the most effective, toxin-free “Mani Care” and “Pedi Care” products and the latest runway-inspired nail colors.

Miranda (shown in the picture above) - This color is one of my top favorites, along with others such as Allure.com, The Bonnie Hunt Show and 425 Magazine. I love it, because it's a beautiful retro seafoam green.

Kim - This one is another top favorite. The color is a smokey gunmetal grey. It's a wonderful alternative for black, and the perfect shade when you want to go for dark.

Selena - A creamy moss green. It will harmonize well with floral sundresses and skirts. This shade is also perfect for fall since it's so earthy.

Maggie - This shade is a tantalizing dark amethyst, and it's my absolute favorite from their collection! It's also another great shade when you want to go for dark, but want a burst of color.

Donna - It appears that this shade is no longer listed on their site, and it's a shame since this is a gorgeous turquoise.

Bottom Line: I wasn't disappointed in the least with my color selections. Not only the nail polish colors are gorgeous, but I love that they dry quickly and that they have strong staying power. I usually stay chip-free 5-6 days, which deepens my love for this brand, because I haven't had a nail polish brand to last this long!

I'll be reviewing more products from Julep. Stay tuned!

LIV GRN Natural Eau De Parfum Spray Review

I immediately fell in love with the LIV GRN Natural Eau De Parfum Spray ($60) when I first applied it on. It has a fruity scent that perfectly captures the essence of summer. Like summer, it fades way too quickly, but leaves a good memory. It features top notes of Lime, Neroli, Orange Flower; mid notes of Geranium, Rose, Cyclamen; and dry notes of Jasmine, Egyptian Musk, Pear.

The C2C Fragrance Collection also includes the Cherry Wood Collection and Earth Collection. Both collections boasts Eau De Parfum Spray ($60), Body Lotion ($18), Mini Rollerball ($15), Body Scrub ($15), Shower Gel ($15), and a Gift Pack ($80).

Going Green with Avocados with Jackie Silver from Aging Backwards

Jackie Silver is Aging Backwards and she shares her secrets, tips and shortcuts in her book, Aging Backwards: Secrets to Staying Young, on her website, on TV, on radio, in print and in person. She founded Aging Backwards, LLC in 2006 to bring the most accurate, current information and cutting-edge innovations in the anti-aging and beauty industries to women and men and to help motivate individuals to stay young and healthy.

The avocado has been misunderstood in the past because of its high-fat content, but avocados provide more than 25 essential nutrients. A serving of avocado, which is one-eighth of the fruit, has only 5 grams of fat per serving, but that fat is the monounsaturated kind, which is heart-healthy and may help to lower cholesterol. Avocados are also rich in omega-3s, another heart-healthy ingredient. Perhaps the most impressive thing about the avocado is the potassium content. Compared to bananas, avocados have 60 percent more potassium, which helps regulate blood pressure. Adequate intake of potassium can help to guard against circulatory diseases such as heart disease, high blood pressure or stroke. Remember, though, everything in moderation. A whole avocado has 520 calories and 40 grams of fat. Even though it's "good" fat, it can still add up to weight gain.

According to the California Avocado Commission, the avocado (Persea Americana) originated in south-central Mexico, sometime between 7,000 and 5,000 B.C. But it was several millennia before this wild variety was cultivated. Archaeologists in Peru have found domesticated avocado seeds buried with Incan mummies dating back to 750 B.C. and there is evidence that avocados were cultivated in Mexico as early as 500 B.C. Find out more about avocados at the California Avocado Commission.

Here are some creative ways to enjoy avocado:

1. Instead of slathering mayo on your sandwich, why not mash up some avocado and spread it on your sandwich? One tablespoon of mayonnaise has about 110 calories of pure fat. One-fifth of a medium California avocado has 50 calories, with 35 calories from fat, but remember – it’s the “good” fat.

2. In a food processor, mash one half of an avocado with a half cup of organic cottage cheese, squeeze a bit of fresh lemon juice on top, sprinkle with black pepper and use it as a dip with cut vegetables for a protein-rich, tasty, healthy meal or snack.

3. Make an avocado boba drink. Boba drinks usually contain soft, chewy tapioca balls in the bottom of a drink such as tea or coffee, but here’s a creative twist: Using a small melon scoop, make avocado balls and add them into tomato or vegetable juice for a new, healthy spin on boba.

4. Cut up avocado chunks and put them on top of gazpacho, the cold Spanish tomato soup, for a filling snack that’s veggie-licious.

5. Add avocado on top of any omelet for a burst of extra flavor.

Leonor Greyl's Lait Luminescence Bi-Phase Detangling Milk Review

Product Description: Lait Luminescence ($43) is a bi-phase, silicone-free detangling and styling product with exceptional smoothing properties. This milk-spray hybrid nourishes and aids the styling of even the most difficult hair, enhancing shine and luminosity and protecting against UVB rays and heat.

Ingredients:

• Alaria Esculenta – A seaweed extract collected along the Breton coast with smoothing and protecting properties.

• Cassia Angustifolia – A plant cultivated in the Southern India that smooths and conditions even the driest of hair for incredible manageability.

• Manketti Oil
– Derived from the fruit of a tree that is protected in Namibia, this oil protects hair against the drying effects of the sun and heat styling tools.

My Thoughts:
Whether I'm wearing my hair straight or wavy, this product gives my hair the moisture and luster that it needs without giving it a greasy feeling in the least. It also doesn't weigh down my hair like some products have in the past. Combing my hair doesn't take much effort since it glides through effortlessly after applying this product. It has a nice, tropical smell when you first apply it on, but it fades within minutes. However, that doesn't make me think any less of it since it does wonders for my hair. My hair isn't a fan of too many hair products, but it has been getting along just fine with this product!

How to Use: Shake before use. Apply a small amount of Lait Luminescence to the length and ends of hair, detangle, and begin brushing. Also apply before exposure to the sun and after swimming.

Ecoya Review

Ecoya's slick, all natural bodycare line includes moisturizing and rejuvenating products that are infused with natural oils and cleansing vitamins! All of these products are from harmful chemicals and artificial colors, while generating aromatic summer fragrances such as Wild Frangipani, Lemongrass & Ginger, Lotus Flower, and Sweet Pea & Jasmine.

Ecoya has taken Hollywood by storm with celebrity fans including Victoria Beckham, Kourtney and Kim Kardashian, Kate Bosworth, Jessica Alba, Zoe Saldana, Lisa Rinna, and Lauren Conrad.

Their Hand and Body Wash ($21.70) in Vanilla Bean gently cleanses the skin and infuses it with a blend of moisturizing oils. I love vanilla scents and I was far from being disappointed with their version.

I love burning candles, because they're very therapeutic and relaxing. This is why their Travel Candles ($13.50) would be perfect to take when traveling to enable you to enjoy a stress-free vacation. I received their Lotus Flower scent and I love it, because it's very unique. The scent is slightly woodsy with a touch of floral. Their travel candles have up to 15 hours of burn time.

My skin feels much smoother after using their Hand and Body Lotion in French Pear ($21.70). The heel of my right hand was starting to feel quite rough due to extensive mouse usage and rubbing it against the computer desk, but it's remarkably better since I have been using this lotion on a daily basis. I also adore the scent, which smells like something you'd find at Bath and Body Works sans the chemical muck. This lotion is rich in the organic vitamin E oils of almond and sunflower. It quickly penetrates the skin without leaving a yucky, greasy feeling.

Rouge Bunny Rouge Review

Follow us into the enchanting world of Rouge Bunny Rouge to roam all the whimsical pathways. Be among the first who get captivated by the latest news on their Facebook and share with them your vision of beauty.

Open the gates of the Enchanted Garden and take a step into the magic.

Her Royal Highness Princess Rouge has been having a recurring dream about the magnificent unpredictable Enchanted Garden, where a mischievous Red Bunny has led her.

In the grounds of the Princess’s Palace she calls upon her most talented artists and artisans to re-create for her this dreamland of Ethereal Beauty.

It is this dreamland that they are taking their customers to. A dreamland so incredibly delicious fresh that it feels as if you have just pinned a newly cut flower into your hair ... and yet with the barest whispers of dark intentions.

London-born and Moscow-London based Rouge Bunny Rouge is quickly moving from a quirky cult secret to a global beauty brand with international acclaim. Rouge Bunny Rouge combines the best from the worlds of cosmetics and design, while treasuring Victorian-style fairy tale and Tsarist aristocratic identity at its core. In an era when most brands are concerned with following the trend, they provide something quite different; a thoughtfully balanced palette of colors, for true seekers of beauty, who choose beauty over brand name or fad.

Wearable, blendable and adaptable textures and shades within their new and existing collections are timely and continuously updated with the best developments to be found in the leading European and Japanese laboratories. They are one of the first decorative cosmetics companies that are substantially blurring the line between make-up and skin care through technological advancement.

I love wearing liquid eyeliner, but I wanted to shy away from the norm (black liquid eyelinger) by selecting the Devotion Ink Quartz Eyeliner in the Tiger Eye Essence ($41.87 at Zuneta), which is a black diluted base that's beautifully blended with 24 carat gold and polished copper. The soft felt tip enables you to glide on this liquid eyeliner effortlessly with fine precision. It's great for those who aren't used to applying on liquid eyeliner. The color doesn't crease or fade that much. It's great to wear alone or over your favorite eyeshadow. You can also buy it in Amethyst Essence, Anthracite Essence, and Opalescence Essence.

The Decadent Duos Joys and Desires ($43.43 at Zuneta) is a fun and fabulous that consists of a liquid blush and lip gloss. I've tried multi-purpose beauty products before, but this one was a bit different for me since I never tried one that included a liquid blush. I opted for the Rumba Cubana, which is a beautiful and light shade of mauve.

The liquid blush blends in perfectly and gives you a natural looking blush. I hate the kind of blush that looks like you're wearing blush, but that isn't the case at all with this product. The lip gloss glides on effortlessly and gives me the right amount of moisture without being sticky or icky. It has a soothing blend of Lotus Flower Extract and delicious Mango Butter and speaks of wild freshness, naturally. Anti oxidant and anti aging, this formula also contains Green Tea, and Gingko Biloba to hydrate and revitalize. It's also available in Flamenco Duende, Samba Enredo, and Tango Argentino.

I highly recommend Rouge Bunny Rouge if you want a look that you thought was only exclusive to fairy tales.

Dixie Bits Review

A self described beauty junkie, Dixie Nichols developed a passion for all things beautiful including, beauty products at the age of six after watching her grandmother extract coconut oil in an iron pot, on her stove top. That day, she learned the oil in the pot was the same oil she used to moisturize her skin, everyday. From that point on, she paid attention; continually absorbing as she and her grandma gathered natures gifts and used them for the family's skin care needs.

Dixie Bits products embody all of the things that should be a factor when purchasing beauty products. They are SAGE (Safe, Appropriate, Gorgeous and Eco-friendly). Trademarked, Voganic™ and Multi-taSKIN ingredients are among the finest and safest you will find in any product. They are on the cutting edge, high quality and free of harmful additives like, Parabens, Phthalates, Petrolatum and many more. Some examples of the delightful and nourishing ingredients include Organic Jojoba Oil, Turbinado sugar, Organic Coconut Oil and Macadamia Nut Oil. What's more, super fruits extracts like, Pomegranate, Passion fruit and Acai berry, will add antioxidants galore for long lasting, youthfully supple and beautiful skin. Product scents create pure olfactory delight. They are original, natural delectable and enchanting.

The Triple Treat Gift Set ($55) is the ultimate gift set for the woman who wants to look and feel pampered in a gorgeously green way. It includes a Body Brush, Sweet Sugar Darlin Body Scrub, Rave in Beauty Body Wash, Whippa Peel Body Lotion, and Ramie Wash Cloth.

Body Brush - Believe it or not, but this is my first time ever using a body brush. I honestly don't know why it took me so long to finally use one, because it's a simplistic (and affordable) way to reap amazing skin benefits. It immediately makes my skin feel so soft and smooth. It's great at stimulating the blood and lymph flow, exfoliating the skin, encouraging new cell growth, and possibly getting rid of cellulite!

Sweet Sugar Darlin Body Scrub - Every loyal reader probably already knows that I'm a body scrub addict by now. I can't imagine going a day without using a body scrub, because it's the ultimate way to banish skin dryness and have healthier looking skin. This delightfully yummy smelling scrub (smells like lemons) is tantalizing to the senses and skin! It's great for all skin types, especially for those who have dry skin since it's very moisturizing. It's combined with Turbinado sugar and oils of JOJOBA, AVOCADO and EVENING PRIMROSE.

Family Bliss
, $15.95 - Dysfunctional families are becoming widely accepted, almost to a point that they're being honored as well. I find this rather sad, because a family should be the most cherished and precious relationship we can have in our lives.

Family Bliss was created to foster love, patience, compassion, tolerance, gentility, teamwork, and inspiration. It is known to keep tantrums, bickering, jealousy, and smothering at bay. It's combined with Beech – Fagus Sylvatica, Cherry Plumb – Prunus Cerasifera, Gorse – Ulex Europaeus, Holly – Ilex Aquifolium, Hornbeam - Carpinus Betulus, Red Chestnut – Aesculus Carnea, and Vine – Vitis Vinifera. I can see how this product will work for someone who is dealing with stress within their family, because I feel calm, clear-headed, and together when I use this product.

Peace , $15.95 - Peace is a modern day version of Dr. Edward Bach’s Original Rescue Remedy. It was created to support the body during times of shock, inconsolable grief, disappointment, and injury. It's also great for calmness, clarity, protection, balance, and rationality. Dr. Birchall-Nofziger is convinced that if Dr. Bach were alive today he would have included walnut. It protects us from outside influences that are everywhere. Every day we are bombarded with mass media, marketing and advertising messages, microwaves, radio waves, surveys, opinion polls, food additives - you name it!

My family and I were recently saddened by shocking news concerning an immediate family member who has been diagnosed with cancer. The news caught him off guard as well and he was stressed beyond belief, which isn't good for any illness. His progress has being going well so far. He also doesn't seem like he is as stressed out by it like he was at first. Perhaps, this product has been working after all.

It's blended with Cherry Plumb – Prunus Cerasifera, Clematis – Clematis Vitalba, Holly – Ilex Aquifolium, Impatiens – Impatiens Glandulifera, Rock Rose Helianthemum Mummularium, Star of Bethlehem - Ornithogalum Umbellatum, and Walnut – Juglans Regia.

Stress, $15.95 - Work, family issues, meeting deadlines, financial problems, and much more can lead to the #1 killer that is filling up hospitals and divorce courts everyday. Experts believe that it is the origin of all disease, which is something I will definitely not disagree with. Thankfully, there are products like this that will help ease the problem(s) by restoring calmness, patience, stability, and rationality that you'll need in any situation. I believe that it's helpful, because I feel much calmer and peaceful these days even though I have everyday worries like everyone else out there. While it doesn't magically make a situation disappear, it does make things much more tolerable.

It's blended with Cherry Plumb – Prunus Cerasifera, Elm – Ulmus Procera, Impatiens - Impatiens Glandulifera, Oak – Quercus Robur, Olive – Olea Europaea, Rock Rose – Helianthemum Nummularium, Scleranthus – Scleranthus Annuus, and Walnut – Juglans Regia.
