Mi-Me Review

Mi-Me is a bath & body company based in Memphis, TN.

Mi-Me was founded by friends Gil & Liz after their relocation from Miami, FL to Memphis, TN.

Mi-Me came about as a result of their desire to create affordable, high-quality bath and body products. More than just random ingredients, their love, friendship, tenacity, and passion go into every product we create.

Like everyone else, I get chapped or cracked lips every now and then. My main problem is that my lips get dry easily, especially in the winter or summer. when the weather is at its harshest. I've been using Mi-Me's Lip Service Kit ($33) to restore and revive my lips and it truly lives up to its name. My lips have been soft and supple with the Coconut Lip Buffer, Cinnamon Ginger Lip Plumper, Tangerine Hydrating Lip Butter, and Lemon Ginger Moisturizing Lip Balm - all are part of the Lip Service Kit. The Cinnamon Ginger Lip Plumper doesn't really plump up these small lips, but I find it to be a great product, nonetheless. It is very moisturizing, and I love the little tingle that it gives.

I love versatile products, such as the Avocado Butter ($12). This body butter is thick in texture, yet it surprisingly melts into the skin within seemingly seconds. The low uva/uvb rating also helps the skin to "weather" any situation by reducing the appearance of age spots, fine lines, and wrinkles; preventing scarring, keeping acne breakouts at bay, restoring skin elasticity, improving hair health, while encouraging hair growth; promoting the reproduction of skin cells, and it doesn't stop there. The versatility is practically endless, making it a truly remarkable product.

Although the jar that it comes in is small, I've been savoring every bit and been mostly applying it on my hair every other day to keep it from getting dry in this hot, humid weather that we've been experiencing in the Midwest. It makes my hair feel soft and manageable, thus less tangles, and gives hair the nourishment that it needs without weighing it down. It's very much like coconut oil in that regard, which I can't really use in my hair since it causes to break out my bad around the hairline. However, I'm happy to report that the avocado butter doesn't do that.

Lastly, I received the Skin Tightening and Toning Serum ($40). When applied once a day, this product promotes tighter, smoother, softer firmer skin. I adhere to a healthy, strict vegetarian diet and stay active, but sitting behind a desk for extensive amount of time can eventually lead to cellulite, which became the case for me after 9 years of blogging. I have four blogs, so I stay more than busy!

This product is by no means a miracle worker and isn't for the impatient, but it has dramatically improved the texture of the back of my thighs after using this and a body brush for over a month. In order to see results, consistency is key, so you can't use it every other day and expect results. I used this product day and night and switched to coconut oil after my product had finally depleted.
