Puriste Skin Care Review

Puriste is a newly launched skincare line from renowned Canadian dermatologist Dr. Sylvia Garnis-Jones inspired by her 30 years in clinical dermatology, her 54-acre farm and commitment to help protect the environment.

Each of Puriste's carefully-crafted 16 revolutionary products have been proven to transform skin within Dr. Garnis-Jones' own clinic over the last several years. Now, she is ready to share those results with the world. However, this is not our only great attribute. We are extremely proud that each product is housed in recyclable glass packaging with tree-free, water-free Fibrestone® labels. Each formula contains a plethora of natural and naturally-derived ingredients. At the core of the line is glycolic acid — the ingredient Dr. Garnis-Jones witnessed breathe new life into the skin of so many patients over the years. All our products are sold online at PuristeCare.com.

Thanks to the sweltering and humid weather, my skin has gone haywire, particularly my face, chest, and back. I find this to be embarrassing yet ironic since summer is a time when you bare skin the most. It seems like I have practically tried everything to keep the breakouts at bay, including the Aztec Secret Healing Clay with Bragg's Raw Apple Cider Vinegar, but I haven't had much success. I know that my diet isn't the culprit since I adhere to a strict vegetarian (borderline vegan) diet. I also steer clear from junk food and soda.

Touted as one of the best naturally-derived skin care lines, Puriste offers some of the top products for facial acne. I've been using their Gentle Purifying Cleanser ($32), 5% Glycolic Acid Day Or Night Cream ($64), and Oil Control Purifying Toner ($28) to get my skin back in track. I'll admit that I haven't experienced immediate results, but I like that the products don't dry out my skin or make it oilier than what it is. And their toner is the best! It gives my skin the sense of clarity that it needs with ingredients, such as Witch Hazel, Cucumber, Aloe Vera, Rosemary, and Citric Acid.

  1. HI there, I was actually just looking at some of these products on the site & am wondering if you have an update on the use of said products, since your last post in June? Any feedback would be helpful, as these products are a little more expensive than some other natural skin care lines.
    Many thanks!
