MY THOUGHTS: It had been ages since I had used a curling iron. The reason why is that I thought they were too harsh for the hair. Truthfully, any hair heating tool can be harsh for the hair if not used in moderation, and I've been capable of overdoing it in the past.
I wanted to take a break from my flat iron for a bit and try out something a little different. I couldn't be more happier with my selection, because their BARBAR 1200 Tourmaline Curling Iron 1 1/2" ($135) does a fantastic job at curling my hair. This curling iron is nothing like the ones I have used in the past. The curls actually stay put! Also, it heats up within seconds, and I like that I can adjust the temperature settings without overheating my hair in the process. While it's a bit steep in price, I can't recommend it enough since it's a high quality curling iron!
