Tarte Cosmetics "Puttin' on the Glitz" Limited-Edition Color Collection & Clutch Review

The Tarte Cosmetics "Puttin' on the Glitz" Limited-Edition Color Collection & Clutch ($48) is an essential gift for the beauty connoisseur that loves to multi-task. It's inspired by the screen legends of the heyday, making it a highly coveted beauty collection to shine this holiday season!

Each Set Includes:

- 3 interchangeable palettes for a total of 18 Eyeshadows, 1 Amazonian Clay 12-Hour blush, 1 Amazonian Clay Shimmering Powder, and 1 Park Ave Princess Amazonian Clay Bronzer

- Maracuja-Infused Lipgloss

- Reusable purse that features 4 credit card slots and a removable mirror

- Detailed "get-the-look" instruction card

The silver carry-all is this season's most sought-after accessory, and their clutch is something to marvel at! It features a slim row of gold-tone links and stunning metallic faux python leather.

The shades in the three palettes are equally impressive! You can easily slip them in and out of your clutch for a quick touch-up. My favorite palette is the Girls' Night Out, because it is ideal for that sexy, smoky look that I'm quite fond of. It has a mixture of vivid mattes and silverspun shimmers complete with Amazonian clay shimmering powder in champagne. The "A Walk in the Park" palette features a mixture of cool and warm easy-to-wear natural shades including Amazonian clay 12-hour blush in darling (a soft shimmering coral pink), which is ideal for a feminine, natural look. The "Nine-to-Five" palette features not-so-quiet rich colors paired with traditional neutrals and Tarte's best-selling Park Ave Princess Amazonian Clay Bronzer inside for a fresh faced healthy glow. Appropriately named, it's ideal for the working girl who wants a soft, yet sophisticated look.

Dinair Airbrush Makeup Kit Review

Dinair Airbrush Makeup has been in the entertainment industry for nearly 30 years creating flawless looks for high definition movies and TV shows. This innovative technology is now available to makeup lovers alike for their everyday makeup routine!

Marsha and I both received the Personal / Pro Edition Kit (starting at $29.95). I wasn't unfamiliar with airbrush makeup kits, because I've tried a couple kits from different brands in the past. However, this was a new experience for Marsha since this was her first time trying out one. Personally, I prefer it over traditional make-up since you don't have to rub airbrush make-up on your skin. Airbrushing sprays a fine mist. Therefore, the makeup "sits evenly" on your skin. Not only it camouflages skin imperfections, but it will give your skin a beautifully natural looking finished result.

When we first received our make-up kits, I was pleasantly surprised by how organized they were. All of the products were nicely packaged and came in a clear travel bag, making it easier for traveling.

The Personal / Pro Edition Kit Includes:

- 4 Foundation Shades, 1/4 oz
- Pro Beauty Airbrush
- Easy to Learn DVD
- Airbrush Case
- Adapter and Plug
- Airbrush Cleaner
- Pro Compressor (We received the Pearl White, but they come in 14 different colors. They charge an additional $19.95 for some colors.)
- $ Dinair Dollars
- Travel Caps
- Airbrush Hose
- Moist & Dewy Moisturizer

BONUS:

- 4 Shades, 1/4 oz.
- Sample Concealer
- Facial Tanner, 1/2 oz.
- Designer Stencil Set

Thoughts:

Both of our kits came with four different foundations for us to choose from. I was a little hesitant, because they all looked darker than my skin tone, judging by the outside of the bottles. I'm multi-ethnic (Cherokee Indian, Caucasian, and African American) and I'm very fair-skinned. However, I was delighted that the Honey Beige was the closest to my skin tone. The Golden Beige worked best for Marsha since she's a shade darker than I am. They have a plethora of shades to select, though. The finishing result is matte, but the Moist & Dewy Moisturizer will add sheen. You can even add a little shimmer with shades such as Champagne, Light Silver, Gold, Silver, Taupe, and more! Again, they have many shades to choose from. I like that you can even mix the shades if want a foundation that is more ideal for your skin tone. The good thing is that this kit is easy to use, and you'll feel like a professional in no time once you've enough practice.

Overall:

I can't recommend this kit enough! It's reasonably priced, easy to use, and provides the perfect amount of coverage. You can use it for Tanning, Body Art, Contouring, Paramedical, Shadowing, Highlighting, Lips, Eyeliner, Hair, Lashes, Brows, and much more! They also have many shades to choose from. And, their customer service is fantastic!

Zinn Beauty Collection Review

From the deserts of Morocco comes an oasis of natural beauty refinement. Presenting Zinn Beauty Collection, a premier line of beauty products, featuring 100% organic Argan Oil from Morocco. Harvested, cultivated and cold-pressed by hand, Zinn Beauty Collection brings nature’s ancient secret recipe for flawless, even-toned skin, and strong, healthy hair to women everywhere.

I instantly fell in love with their Velvet Facial Cleansing Milk ($29.99), which is a gentle, thick, non-foaming, organic facial cleaner. It has the consistency of a thick lotion, but it washes away make-up with ease and deeply cleanses the pores, while leaving the skin smooth and perkier. It is great for a range of different skin types. I have combination skin. Therefore, I was apprehensive about this product beforehand since not all cleansers are the same. The Velvet Facial Cleansing Milk is enriched with Argan Oil, Shea Butter, Jojoba Oil, and Rosehip Seed.

Not only the Velvet Facial Cleansing Milk keeps the skin impurities at bay, but it also deeply moisturizes the skin without infuriating problematic skin in the process, making it extremely ideal for winter. While I don't have dry skin, it suffers the most during the winter time.

I always follow up with the Luminous Rosehip and Orange Day Moisturiser by The Organic Skin Co. ($38), which is one of my top favorite facial moisturizers. However, you can use the Revitalizing Anti-Aging Cream by Zinn Beauty ($29.99). I can't vouch for the effectiveness since I have never used Zinn Beauty's Revitalizing Anti-Aging Cream. Again, I just can't use any type of moisturizing product due to my sensitive skin. I'm pretty that it's a great product, though. You're more than welcome to share your experience in the comment section below if you've used this product before.

The Argan Tree (Argania Spinosa) belongs to the Sapotaceae family. The trees can live from 150-200 years. It produces one of the rarest oils in the world, which is traditionally harvested in Morocco. The Berber women in Morocco made it a well kept beauty secret for the longest time.

100% Moroccan Argan Oil ($29.99) is made of the purest 100% Organic Oil for healthy, nourished skin, hair, and nails. It is a superior moisturizer and is easily absorbed by the skin. Personally, I love using it in my hair since it's ideal for dry and/or damaged hair. I wouldn't go as far as to say that my hair is damaged since I've only had it highlighted once in my lifetime. However, it does have a tendency of getting dry, which encourages breakage. This and Coconut Oil, makes my hair more manageable and shiny. It also discourages hair breakage and in most cases, it treats split ends! A little bit truly goes a long way, though.

Holiday Nails That Make a Statement

For some women, nails are an afterthought. But for the meticulous fashionista, nails are a statement waiting to be made – and what better time to make a splash than the holiday season? Which begs the question: what does each popular color represent, and what does it say about a woman’s personality when she chooses her favorite nail shade? Here, nail expert and Creative Director of Pretty Woman USA, Aija Vilemsonne, shares her thoughts on what your hue says about you, and what holiday looks you should consider pairing with your color of choice.

Winter White

White is the universal go-to color for put-together nails. Aija reveals, “Women who wear white often do so exclusively; white is both practical and sophisticated, a winning combination. The woman who wears white doesn’t want to be shackled to nail touch-ups – she wants to have fun!”

From a fashion standpoint, white is a blank canvas. Aija points out that a more colorful, dramatic frock would be a nice complement to the muted tone of the white nail polish. A quick beauty tip is to choose a fun shade for your eyes or lips that bounce off of the white shine of your nails.

Pink Pops

This super feminine color is not for the faint of heart. Says Aija, “When you wear a hot color like this, you’re asking for attention and demanding that people notice your nails. Only a woman who is as confident as can be would invite such scrutiny!”

Aija suggests pairing this dramatic hue with neutral clothing tones and accessories. Make your nails the true star by ensuring that they pop against your outfit. A little black dress would be ideal. For fun, match your lip color to the nail; bold lips are in this holiday season!

Robust Red

Red has always been the color of power. “Red is for the dominant woman who is self-confident and knows what she wants. Besides being festive for the holiday season, this lady wants to convey that she is in control,” says Aija.

When you wear red nails, you want them to be one of the focal points of your ensemble. Try to keep your clothing and makeup relatively neutral, save for a dewy red-tinged blush and a rich red gloss.

Metallic Maven

Metallic-hued or shimmery nails clue people into style.“Metallic is a trend that has been seen largely on the runways of high-fashion houses. Wear it with the confidence that those who see it will appreciate that you are a fashionista at heart!”

The great thing about metallic nails is that they can go with pretty much anything you might have in mind for a holiday soiree. Play up your makeup with fun colors and textures. Try to match your accessories to the color of your nails for a clean look.

Your nails say more about your personality to others than you might think,” says Aija, “but one thing to keep in mind when you are experimenting with new trends is to showcase your confidence. Stand by your style choices and have fun!”
