Kahina Argan Oil ($32 - $72) is the ultimate beauty secret and the very heart of Kahina Giving Beauty. I love it much as their Serum, because it is very light and non-greasy. I believe their Argan Oil has helped out tremendously with blemishes. There hasn't been a pimple in sight since I've been using this product. This product is not only good for treating acne, but it also good for a lot of things - hair oil, hand treatment, body oil, bath oil, etc. Now I understand why it is so popular.
Their Facial Cleanser ($15 - $42) is perfect for my combination skin, because it is gentle and it deeply cleanses. It is also well moisturizing, which also makes it ideal for dry skin. Review: I'm not much of a perfume spray fan since I'm a bit more fond of perfume oil now. This is my first time ever trying out anything from the Kenzo brand. A sucker for floral scents, I really like the FlowerbyKenzo ($25 - $88). It exudes the perfect amount of floral without being overpowering. If you're looking for the ideal spring/summer scent, this is IT!

Liquid Keratin ($69) is the first safe, at home alternative to expensive salon treatments.
Their keratin is a purified protein fraction isolated from pure New Zealand wool. These keratin proteins and keratin peptides both have molecular weights which allows the formation of coherent films on the cuticle surface and penetration into the cortex.
Review: I'll admit that I was a bit skeptical about this product. I have shoulder-length, wavy hair that has a tendency to get frizzy, and I have come across a few products, few and far between, that has eliminated this problem temporarily. I've found this product to be one of the few to work wonders. This product was extremely easy to use. The directions on the instructions explain clearly each and every step. The only problem for me was that the shampoo and conditioner in the starter kit were too small. This is not a good thing if you're anything like me and go through shampoo and conditioner quickly (2 weeks). After I went through the shampoo & conditioner from the kit, I had to use the bigger bottles that they sent me that weren't part of the kit. I highly recommend this brand. However, I wish they will make the bottles much larger in the future or price this kit at a much cheaper price.

Review: I had the fantastic opportunity of trying out the Pirouette Bamboo Microderm ($45) and Pas de Trois Age Delay Eye Solution ($75).
I've tried out many different types of exfoliants, but the Pirouette Bamboo Microderm has become one of my favorites. It is the perfect balance of an exfoliator and microdermabrasion cream. The grains are very fine, which makes it suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin like mine. The scent is unique, but pleasant. When you're finished using this product, you feel like you've been to the spa, which is the most important, eh? They recommend using this product once to twice a week.
I also love their Pas de Trois Age Delay Eye Solution. While it's not a cheap date at $75, it is a bit cheaper than most of the high end eye creams I've come across. It has a powerful blend of moisturizers, anti-inflammatories and antioxidants to act as a triple threat against signs of aging. Shea Butter and Almond, Coconut and Olive oils provide the ultimate moisture. It also has a combination of ground breaking peptides and botanicals that deliver an instant lift and diminish the appearance of fine lines, while a trio of specialized ingredients work together to reduce puffiness, dark circles and wrinkles. I haven't experience any puffiness or wrinkles, but it has been wonderful at reducing the appearance of dark circles - and it doesn't burn!

Precare: Beware Before You Wax
1. Observe Your Surroundings – similar to preventing infection during a manicure or pedicure, waxing facilities must be clean and strict sanitary processes followed to provide uncontaminated supplies, eliminating the potential for infection during the treatment process. Your practitioner should use clean, disposable implements or hospital grade disinfectant for any tools that are reused.
2. Steer Clear of Double Dipping - the nauseating truth is that double-dipping is common practice in wax application. This method uses the same spatula for the entire treatment, re-dipping the used applicator back into the vat of wax. This contaminated wax is then reused for treatments on other individuals. Unfortunately, this technique can increase the chances of potentially harmful bacteria spreading from one client to another, which is particularly disturbing when dealing with the body's nether region (aka the bikini zone). At Shobha, their No Double Dip Policy (SM) is strictly followed for all sugaring and waxing treatments. If the facility does not offer such a policy, request a new can of wax at the start of your treatment to avoid contaminated supplies that have been used on other clients.
3. Know Your Professional – by law, your wax practitioner must be licensed with the state to perform professional treatments. This license should be displayed in the place of work. For New York State, you can check online to make sure your practitioner is current with his/her paperwork online.
4. Be Menstruation Free – generally, it is best to get a bikini wax at least a few days before or after your period. The closer the treatment is to your actual period, the more sensitive your body becomes because your immune system is lowered, making you more susceptible to infection.
5. Patch Test – before undergoing a full treatment, if you have never waxed previously it is best to try a small area (known as a patch test) first. Wait 48 hours between the test and full treatment to see if you have any adverse reactions.
Aftercare: 48 Hours of Rest is Best
1. Be Comfortable – the bikini area is one of the most sensitive parts of the body. Wear loose comfortable clothing after treatments to avoid irritation caused by friction or rubbing.
2. Expect to be Sensitive - (especially if it is your first time) for 48 hours after your treatment the area will be more sensitive than usual. Apply a cold compress and then an anti-inflammatory cream, like hydrocortisone, if your skin is especially tender.
3. Use Warm Water - hold off on taking hot baths for at least 2 hours, but do bathe after waxing to further clean the area, just go easy! Resist the sauna & steam room for at least 48 hours.
4. Abstain from Sex - medical experts recommend waiting 48 hours after any type of bikini wax. This time period is when your body can be most susceptible to outside bacteria, which can potentially cause an infection. for your safety & health, it is better to abstain, but not required. It is really a personal choice, so just keep in mind that your skin does need some time to recover.
5. Avoid Ultra-Violet Rays – steer clear of tanning beds and sunbathing for at least 48 hours, and always where sun protection.
6. Watch Out for Acidic Products - refrain from the use of any products containing acid, i.e. alpha-hydroxy, glycolic acid, salicylic acid, etc. for 48 hours. Acids, although helpful for exfoliating the skin and helping prevent bumps and ingrown hairs after hair removal, can be irritating to the skin during the first 48 hours, since the waxing process already exfoliates the top layers of skin during the treatment.

Ecstasy Intense Moisturizing Shampoo is a thick and well moisturizing shampoo that is ideal for all hair types. I love that it gives my hair a luxurious shine. It also makes my hair more manageable (no tangles) when it comes to styling.

Review: I received their Rhassoul Core 5-Piece All-Natural Skin Care System ($127.75), which includes the Rhassoul Original Complexion Polish, Almond Cream Bar Soap, Face Feed, Rose Petal Toner and Pore Seal & Protect.
This two-lather system is ideal for all skin types. It exfoliates and remineralizes to eliminate dry skin, blackheads, whiteheads, enlarged pores, acne scars, oily skin, uneven texture and discolorations due to sun damage.
This system might be a bit pricey, but it is well worth it. It gives my skin a very healthy complexion.
Instructions:
1. You pre-treat your face by cleansing your skin with their Rose Petal Toner, which smells really nice. They suggest using 100% cotton pads when using this toner.
2. I'll admit that I was a bit overwhelmed when I first received this system a few months ago, because the Rhassoul Original Complexion Polish is enormous in size. However, I was relieved after I read the instructions since they recommend cutting this bar into 6 chunks. Since this bar is very thick, I had to wet it first to soften it in order to cut it. They recommend starting your morning by wetting the Rhassoul Original Complexion Polish and rubbing it all over face and neck with your hands (no washcloths) in an upward motion to create a lather. Allow the lather to rest for 30 seconds. Do not rinse.
3. While you're waiting for the Rhassoul lather to rest, use the Almond Cream soap to create a lather over the Rhassoul. Cut this bar into 4 pieces and don't use this as regular soap, tempting as it may be.
I was a bit apprehensive about this part since I don't like the idea of using soap on my face, but it didn't break me out like I expected it to.
Gently wash off after 15-30 seconds. Blot dampness without completely drying your face with a soft towel.
4. Moisturize your face with their Face Feed by adding 3 dots on each cheek and four dots on your neck. Allow it to penetrate for 60 seconds. Their Face Feed contains ingredients that are good at combating wrinkles. It also feeds your skin, replenishing lost vitamins, trace minerals and other nutrients.
5. Hydrate your skin with a pea size amount of Pore Seal & Protect. Dot that all over your face and neck and then blend in. You can also use this with your foundation for beautiful, moisturizing sheer coverage.
I also received their Lovelight Body Candle in Mysore Sandalwood ($27.95). This body candle reminds me of the Scandle body candle that I hear so much about. If the Scandle body candle is good as this one, I can see why so many people rave and rave about them! All you have to do is light this candle to create a fragrant all over body moisturizer. It is also perfect as a warm massage oil or as a soothing Vitamin E rich lotion for manicures and pedicures.

These particular products are designed to improve the manageable effects for people who wish to straighten your hair. They are also designed to help the hair lie evenly together and help one hair support the next as it is straightened or flattened. I'll admit that these products didn't straighten my wavy hair after using, but I can't speak for everyone since hair products work differently for each person. However, I like that these products didn't dry out my hair like most shampoos and conditioners! I also love the smell of these products. I'd be interested in trying out more products in the future, especially the Shine Spray.

I also tried out their Piggy Paint Remover ($10.50). This nail polish might be mostly aimed at little girls, but I'm very impressed with this line. The nail polish doesn't chip easily. The nail polish remover is much better than any nail polish remover I've ever tried. What I like most about it is, none of these products had a smell, which usually makes my head spin! I've tried another non-toxic nail polish in the past, and it even had that strong nail polish smell that I don't like. Needless to say, Piggy Paint has won me over!

Review: I received the CoverGirl TruBlend Microminerals Foundation in Buff Beige and Classic Ivory ($10.99 each). I love mineral foundation, but I wasn't sure how well this one would go since I mostly use organic mineral foundation due to sensitive skin. I use the Classic Ivory since it is more close to my skin tone, and I gave the other shade to my mother since it was more close to hers. By the way, she loves it! And, I do too. All I have to do is apply a primer such as Organicare Fresh Fix Hydrating Mist To-Go ($29.50) or LaRocca C-Gold ($150) and this mineral foundation stays in place throughout the day. Like most of the mineral foundations I've tried in the past, it provides great coverage while looking very natural. Considering how expensive great quality mineral foundation can be, I'll have to say this is a steal at $10.99!

Review: After hearing people rave and rave about the Luster 1 Hour White ($39.99), I was excited to have the opportunity to try out this whitening system. While most had a great experience with this product, I can honestly say that I didn't have a good experience. I followed the directions accordingly and everything went well the first time around. The Activating Whitening Light didn't light up the second time around. All it did was made this annoying beeping sound. There was also a horrible burning smell to top it off. The Luster 1 Hour White Light Bulb Replacement Kit is costly at $15. Needless to say, I'm sticking to the traditional strips. They haven't failed me yet!

Review: I'll have to say that this is probably the best toothpaste I've ever tried. I'll admit that I had been very fond of Rembrandt, but I believe this is much better when it comes to whitening. Review: I had the opportunity to try out the Clean Sheets tealight candle ($6.98). I've used scents in the past that never lived up to their name or description. However, this candle smells exactly like clean sheets. This serene-like candle has notes of fragrant blossoms and herbs that will make the ambiance of the room welcoming and relaxed. I'd love to try out their scents in the future after hearing so much good about Gold Canyon and finally having a chance to sample their line.
