Purity 365 is a natural and organic skincare line dedicated to using wholesome natural ingredients in it's products. The "fresh" smell of the Coffee Bean Brown Sugar Scrub ($17) automatically wakes me up in the morning. It leaves my skin feeling soft, well pampered, and exfoliated. Coffee grounds is known to reduce or remove cellulite, but that can be a bit messy if you opt for the home remedy. This body scrub is not messy in the least! I've noticed a major difference in the texture of my skin since I've been using this scrub. It is much smoother and silkier even if I skip a couple of days by not using this scrub.

Sucrose and coffee are two powerful skin exfoliants that help rejuvenate the skin. Sucrose has natural glycolic acid and natural alpha-hydroxyl acid that stimulate the skin,cleaning pores and exfoliating the surface layer of dead skin cells. Coffee has antioxidant properties that can help prevent skin ailments and minimize aging skin.

The Lemongrass Frappe Body Oil ($7 - $17) is another great way to detoxify and firm the skin while reducing the appearance of cellulite. Made with the finest oils available, you can be well assured that your skin will be well protected, hydrated, and nourished. I like how versatile this body oil is, because you can also use it as a massage oil or bath oil - my favorite! I love citrusy scents, because they give me a sense of serenity. If you're feeling ho-hum or stressed to the max, you'll be surprised on how quickly it will alleviate your mood. If you enjoy the smell of fresh lemonade on a hot summer's day you will love the smell of this Lemongrass Body Oil!

Coy Hair Review

Tom Newell, a former investment banker turned entrepreneur and Alison Etter, owner of Derby Salon in Seattle, realized that both customers and clients were equally frustrated with the current state of the hair care industry. Both felt that too many of today’s high end products were being developed with a focus on marketing rather than innovation by companies that spend more on advertising than on product development.

In addition to creating the best products available, Alison and Tom hoped to simplify the distribution process and lower the cost of great products for consumers. In their opinion, there is no need for salons to spend their time and money to try and be retail stores or for products to be sold at extravagant prices just to pay several layers of distributors. Coy products are sold direct to end-users at reasonable prices. Salons, as well as the stylists our customers trust and rely on, are directly compensated for leading people to their products.

Utilizing their individual expertise Alison and Tom sought the opinions of numerous stylists and consumers in developing a line of products that are focused on performance in both the salon and at home. The result is the Coy product line which, they believe, is far superior in both function and value to anything on the market today.

I have made it quite evident in the past that I don't have the best of luck when it comes to shampoo, but luckily I have found a few favorites. Coy is a new favorite to add to the list! Marsha and I recently had the opportunity to try out the Nourish Shampoo ($19). This is one of the most gentle, yet effective shampoos that I tried so far. It has a delightful bakery type scent that reminds me of warm vanilla, which happens to be one of my most favorite scents! I like that it doesn't tangle or dry out my hair at all. The results remind me of the Alterna Caviar shampoo I've used in the past, but it is much more budget friendly. It gives my hair superior shine, volume, and manageability.

Well, you can hardly get by without using a conditioner after using a shampoo! Their Nourish Conditioner ($20) will help you maintain that softness and luster after using their shampoo. It has the same bakery type scent, which makes this duo an even more of a must have! It is a color safe salve of aloe, horsetail extract, jojoba, and safflower oil.

Product Pairings: Use after Nourish or Reveal Shampoo. Begin styling with Canvas foundation spray and always finish style with Polish for added luster.

It's even gentle enough to use on the face. I love how well my skin cleared up while using this product during the winter months. The White Grapefruit Oil is one of the top ingredients in this cleanser. It's a mild astringent and toning agent that leaves your skin and spirits feeling revitalized and uplifted. I highly recommend buying their Sea Wool Sponge ($14) if you buy any of their cleansers, because it creates more lather and helps you save more product.

Tips on Protecting Your Skin from the Sun

Protecting your skin from the sun is more serious than avoiding a sunburn.

Unprotected sun exposure can result in wrinkles, aging skin and in the worse case –
skin cancer. It is so important to protect your skin correctly that the Food and
Drug Administration has proposed new rules that would require sunscreen labels to
indicate how well a given product protects users against UV-A.

In honor of Skin Cancer Awareness month in May, Cosmetic Dermatologist David J.
Goldberg, MD, JD shares some tips on how to enjoy the sun, but to avoid damage from
its dangerous rays:

1. Make sure sunscreen has both UVB and UVA protection. Not all do. The SPF is a
measurement of UVB protection (SPF should be at least 15). SPF does not measure UVA
protection. Both UVA and UVB cause skin cancer and wrinkles. The sunscreen must say
"UVA protection provided."

2. The worst hours to be on the beach are between 11 am - 3 pm.

3. Tee shirts do not protect from ultraviolet damage.

We all know that we shouldn’t believe everything we hear but sometimes it’s hard to differentiate the truth from a myth. · There’s a new trend that says you should get your hair cut every four weeks, instead of the traditional six to eight weeks. I don’t believe this for one second and neither should you. Unless your hair is super short, and you like to keep it that way, getting your hair cut within four weeks is a waste of money. A good haircut should last a minimum of six weeks before needing another trim.

· The fuller-figured woman often brings her hair forward over her face, mistakenly believing this will hide her fuller shape. It doesn’t. Bringing hair forward to the cheeks actually draws attention to the fullest part of anybody’s face: chubby cheeks! Instead of trying to disguise your shape and size, be brave, style your hair back away from your face, expose your eyes, and get the twinkle back.

· Calling out fashion faux pas is all the rage. Never wear white before Memorial Day or after Labor Day is a common one that makes me giggle. It’s just not true. If you look great who cares what date it is?! It’s the same with hair: Don’t wear long hair over forty, people say. I disagree. As long as your hair is healthy, the style is modern, and it suits you, then wear any length you want, regardless of your age.
